Rockstar has not announced a GTA 6 review embargo date. Based on precedent — GTA 5's embargo lifted one day before its September 17, 2013 launch — expect the first scores on or one day before November 19, 2026. No review copies or scores exist yet; anything claiming a GTA 6 score today is fake.

The "sequestered reviewers" claim
A May 2026 report from a Brazilian journalist suggested reviewers might play GTA 6 at a secured venue rather than at home, to limit leak risk after the August 2026 build breach. This is unconfirmed — Rockstar has said nothing about review logistics. Treat it as a rumor.
How to spot a fake score
- No aggregate page (Metacritic, OpenCritic) can show GTA 6 scores before the embargo lifts.
- Screenshots of review pages are trivially faked — check the outlet's own site directly.
- Rockstar review copies go out days, not months, before release.
- Any "leaked internal score" is not a thing; publishers don't score their own games.
