1. Who we are

The GTA 6 Database ("we", "us") is an independent, fan-maintained website about Grand Theft Auto VI, published at allaboutgta6.lovable.app and allaboutgta.com. We are not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.

2. Information we collect

• Information you provide: email address and platform/interest choices submitted through our news-alert form; account details (email, display name) when you sign in with Google to post or vote on theories; the text of theories, votes and reports you submit.
• Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and time on page, collected through standard server logs and analytics.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK).

3. How we use your information

• To operate the site, show your submitted theories and record your votes.
• To send GTA 6 news alerts you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To measure traffic and improve content and performance.
• To display advertising and to detect abuse, spam and security incidents.

Legal bases where GDPR applies: consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (site security, aggregate analytics) and contract (operating your account).

4. Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads.

We use three categories of cookies: strictly necessary (session, security, your consent choice), analytics (aggregate traffic measurement) and advertising (ad delivery, frequency capping and, with consent, personalisation). 6. Sharing your data

We share data only with service providers who help us run the site: our hosting and database provider, our authentication provider (Google Sign-In) and our advertising partner (Google AdSense). We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if legally required.

7. Data retention

Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Account data, theories and votes are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent, or request portability. California residents may opt out of "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Email hashimtalks82@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

Data is stored on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and row-level access controls. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change and material changes will be announced on the site.
