What happened
Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 will be available to pre-load exactly one week before its November 19, 2026 launch. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners can begin their pre-load at midnight local time on Thursday, November 12, 2026 — no console gets an early advantage. The same date applies to physical box owners, whose sealed cases contain a download code rather than a disc. Industry insiders expect GTA 6 to be one of the largest game downloads in recent memory, so the week-long window is intended to guarantee day-one play.
