What happened
Speaking to Bloomberg at Tokyo Game Show, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said he expects a large viewership bump at GTA 6's November launch and 'an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer', citing conversations with Rockstar. Rockstar has confirmed nothing about multiplayer timing, and Take-Two's own statement the same day referred only to continued GTA Online support. Treat 2027 as an informed third-party expectation, not a date. Sources: Dexerto, Kotaku — September 17, 2026.
